What types of clients do you work with?

I work companies who are serious about investing in the development of their current and up and coming leaders. Companies who recognize that the most valuable investment they can make is in the continuous development of their talent, but often don’t have "in-house" resources. The majority of the companies I work with are financial service and professional service firms, but I enjoy working also with tech companies and other organizations undergoing dramatic growth.

What types of things do you coach on?

Personal strategic planning, personal effectiveness, delegation, time management, emotional intelligence, leadership, stress management, effective networking, and coaching others.

Leadership development is often tasked to managers who are too caught up in the day-to-day challenges of managing the organization. That’s where I come in. I help the organization identify the gaps in their internal leadership and then I take them to the side and work with them on a structured plan to get them where they need to be.  

How does the process work?

We have a conversation with the coachee and their key stakeholders e.g. manager, HR etc., so that we have a 360-degree view and are all clear about what the desired outcome through coaching might be. We are clear on including a process to track monthly milestones. Engagements typically involve a weekly one-hour session with the coachee for at least a six-month period. Ultimately, programs are tailored to fit organizational needs, budget, and resources.

How do I know if it will work for our company?

Hiring a coach is not a recipe for instant success, but a step in the right direction. I am very selective in who I will work with, as I too have to consider the return I want to get from my time and energy. I will only work with those who are committed to taking action to improve, who are open to an outside perspective, and are willing to do the work. To ensure the engagement is accomplishing the desired results, we check-in regularly with the engagement sponsor. 

What are the benefits of working with a coach?

Better results, faster and with greater impact than if you are relying on your already stretched internal resources.  While there are many options for developing existing and upcoming leaders, I have found one-to-one coaching, to be the most effective and least risky method, as it is tightly tied to agreed-upon outcomes.

How are you different?

I’m a certified business and executive coach. This is my full-time job. I’ve built and led successful teams and companies internationally. I have spent my career driving superior business performance through people, processes, and planning. At some point in my 25-year corporate career, I have likely sat in the same spot as most of your senior talent, but today I help optimize your internal leadership talent so they can accomplish your organizational goals.
